The Expression of Interest Assessment Task is essentially a chance for you to introduce and promote yourself and additionally, concisely explain the business concept and associated online marketing campaign you have in mind and therefore, will focus on for both Assignment One and Assignment Two (the Website Plan and Website Project respectively). You will do this in two ways:
Essentially this is an initial ‘pitch’ to a potential employer demonstrating (using both written and oral communication techniques) why you are the right person for the job. The Expression of Interest assessment task is worth 10% of your final marks for this course (5% for the written component and 5% for the oral component). The written component will be assessed on the your ability to get your point across clearly, concisely, and in a compelling, relevant, and well formatted manner (see Expression of Interest Marking Criteria) and the presentation component will be assessed on your ability to do the same using enthusiastic, engaging, clear and concise, well-timed, and well-spoken oral communication techniques (see Expression of Interest Marking Criteria).
Due Date
The Expression of Interest (EOI) assessment task is due in Week 4 of the semester by the end of your normal tutorial. You submit both the written component and deliver the oral presentation before the end of your normal tutorial time slot in Week 4. Feel free to ask your lecturer or tutors anything if any of this seems unclear.

Use this guide as a checklist to ensure you have covered all required aspects of the assignment to a high standard. An assessment of each aspect of the marking criteria will be undertaken during the marking process associated with your assignment. The completed marking criteria (including comments) will be available to you once marks for this assignment are completed and made available in the grade centre.
